The Student Support Office offers information, advice and advocacy to all students of our Department, and provides services or solutions to potential problems and difficulties encountered during their studies. The Office has a diverse and dynamic mission that involves working on welfare issues through collaborations with students, staff, and organisations or groups in the local, national or international community. Amongst others, student welfare issues that come under its remit include catering, accommodation, health, student finance, childcare, complaints, and international student issues.

Free catering is offered to all students in a fully equipped dining hall located within the Campus; the service includes two meals per day (lunch & dinner).
The university has a 250 bed dormitory capacity, offered free of charge to students who meet certain financial criteria. Please contact the Student Support office (tel. + 30 22510 36936 / 36937) for details.
All of our students are eligible to a Student ID card that grants them reduced prices in any means of mass transport within Greece. The discount is valid for the whole academic year, and the Student ID can be obtained by the Department’s Secretary Office.
Students at DMS can each have a Personal Tutor, whom they can work closely with, discuss issues concerning their studies, as well as any problems they may be facing on a daily basis. The Personal Tutor, who can cooperate with a special Counsellors, can also assist students with any personal problems that could affect their academic performance.
Books or additional course materials are distributed without charge to all undergraduate students, on dates that are regularly announced by the Students Support office. Alternatively, students may use the online service Evdoxos, but please note that their webpage is currently available only in Greek.
According to Greek Law, Health Insurance services are provided to all undergraduate and postgraduate students, who receive a personal healthcare booklet upon registration to the Department. The Health Insurance booklet must be annually validated by the Department’s Secretary Office.
The Career Services office provides information on organizations and private corporations in Greece or abroad that could offer employment to university students and graduates. It also provides additional information on students’ inquiries, conferences, summer schools, scholarships and postgraduate programs, and keeps a data base of students’ and graduates’ curriculum notes.
