There are no official prerequisites. However, the whole material of mathematics in secondary education is an essential prerequisite for the course.

Yes. In case of participation of Erasmus students, the course is offered in English.

It is expected that students should learn the material presented in the Syllabus.

The course aims to the preparation of the students for the next course, “Mathematics II”, essentially Calculus of Several Variables (second semester). Both courses aim to applications in oceanography.

Sets and Functions.

Elements of Algebra and Trigonometry.

Complex numbers, Euler’s formula.

Elementary functions, their inverses.

Applications of the derivative.

The Riemann integral, methods of integration, improper integrals.

Elementary differential equations, separable differential equations, linear second-order differential equations with constant coefficients.

Face-to-face

The Calculus Laboratory aims in the acquaintance of students with MATHEMATICA.
