Research
Ioannis Pantelakis, has participated in numerous research projects and studies on the management of the natural environment and applications of information systems (1992-present). He is a member of the Water and Air Quality Laboratory of the Environment Department of the University of the Aegean (1992-present). He has publications on control of environmental pollution through the application of artificial intelligence, in international scientific journals and international conferences.
Teaching
In the undergraduate program he participates in the teaching of the courses: Introduction to Informatics and Programming (seminar lectures), Theory and Practice of Environmental Impact Assessment Studies (co-teaching), Hydrology (laboratory exercises), Satellite Oceanography (laboratory exercises).
Professional activities
Ηe has taught as a lecturer the Computer Science at the Sociology Department, University of the Aegean. Since 1995 working in University of the Aegean, for research, design, development, maintenance and management of the network infrastructure of the University buildings of Mitilini town, technical support centers in the computer laboratories of the Lesvos Island schools and Departments of the University, and education students and teachers in the Applied Computing. He is a member of the laboratory and teaching staff of informatics in the School of Environment, Department of Marine Sciences. At the same time, he works in the Department of Marine Sciences with the role of Network Administrator.
