RESEARCH INTERESTS & SPECIALIZATION 

Main field:

Organic pesticides: Environmental fate and behavior in environmental matrices

Development, optimization and evaluation of analytical methods for the determination of toxic priority substances in various aqueous and solid environmental matrices based on means of gas chromatography and mass spectrometry

Other fields:

Qualitative and quantitative instrumental analysis of persistent organic pollutants (POPs) in a variety of matrices

Toxicity tests of synthetic organic compounds contained in surface water, seawater and sediments towards non target-microalga (Bioassays)

Removal of toxic contaminants from water samples by adsorption techniques

Current research interest:

Degradation kinetics and persistence of pesticides in different environmental matrices

Bioassays

Marine pollution monitoring due to priority substances

Remediation technologies
